I recently moved to the neighborhood and have stopped by Ayd Hardware several times now. So far, despite its size, they have always stocked what I needed, and in several brands. The people who work there are just the right amount of friendly and helpful without being overbearing or intrusive. I plan to give them my business for a long time.

This hardware store is old school in the best sense of the word. Excellent customer service from knowledgeable people. It is my go to place for all kinds of household and garden needs. From lawn mowers to light bulbs to all your every day needs, go to Ayds Hardware for s great experience.

Great store, great staff, great selection. I'm always amazed by how effectively they are able to take care of what I need, from the availability of products to services. I've learned to expect they'll have what I need when I walk in. From a tiny decorative copper screw to the ability to cut glass and rescreen a window. Best neighborhood store around.

Strike anywhere matches? Count me in. This place had them. I got them. Bringing it back to PA since their outlawed. I mean that's great. I love striking anywhere. RFK not so much but that's the neighborhood concern not mine cause im a strike anywhere guy. Boom.

Vince the owner/manager was extremely helpful with several questions I had to install hardware around the door frame and . He answered all my questions even simple ones , to do the project. He sold only what I needed and saved me money with advice not to buy more things I thought I needed. It’s hard to find his level of expertise these days in any big box DIY stores Thanks Vince.

Vince... a very gregarious and knowledge owner/salesperson. It was a pleasure visiting his store for the first time and meeting him. I learned it was a family business that he's now run for decades. The store is packed to the ceiling and displayed attractively out front, with just about everything you'd need/expect in a hardware store (not lumber yard.) I'd called in and he was able to salvage the correct part for my lawn mower from one that was located "out back." He saved me approx. $20 by getting me the handle I needed, which didn't have it's own individual part number, without having to by the whole self-propel control unit. I will return.

Great hardware store ! Many items available for older homes built in the area.lawn mower repairs are great and on point . Knowledgeable staff in House.
